A magical Christmas in the Scottish Highlands
Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of spending Christmas in a Magical Land. That girl was me and I grew up (kind of), although I still dream of, and search for magic and adventure in a fairytale land…
Christmastime is magical; I absolutely love it and what better way to add some more magic to Christmas than to go in search of a fairytale adventure? That is exactly what I am going to be doing this Christmas and I couldn’t be more excited!
Mega Highland Christmas
I’m travelling to Edinburgh, Scotland today in advance of joining the Mega Highland Christmas five-day tour with Haggis Adventures tomorrow morning. Travelholic Nomad will also be joining me as we spend Christmas on the road travelling through the beautiful Scottish Highlands.
The itinerary delivers everything you might expect a fairytale adventure to contain;
- Castles
- Mythical creatures
- Stories of bloody battles
- Beautiful and wild scenery; lochs and snow-capped mountains
- A hotel fit for royalty
- Traditional Scottish Ceilidh dancing in the ballroom
- A Christmas feast
- And no doubt some interesting characters!

Follow my fairytale Christmas with Haggis Adventures on social media
All fairytales involve some kind of challenge and Haggis Adventures have thrown down the gauntlet and handed over their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts to me for the duration of the trip! We are heading into the wild Scottish Highlands, so no doubt there will be times when I have no internet access. I’ll be posting as often as I can though, both on my own social media accounts and on behalf of Haggis. Look out for #HaggisTours!
A Christmas gift for you
‘Tis the season for giving and I’m excited to announce that Haggis Adventures have teamed up with their Celtic cousins Shamrocker Adventures in Ireland, to offer one lucky person a fantastic Christmas gift! So whilst Travelholic Nomad and I are exploring the Scottish Highlands this Christmas with Haggis Adventures, we want you to help us choose who should receive this gift! Perhaps you think you are deserving of this Christmas gift? More information about this will be revealed on Christmas Eve, December 24th on this site. Subscribe to my blog to hear about it first.
